BEFORE YOU BUY: Please note that Actian's latest change to the licensing policy is that if you crash your server without an IMAGE-LEVEL backup to restore from, they will only "repair" or "reset" your v17 license for you TWO TIMES without the purchase of a Support Contract directly from them. Actian Zen v17 Workgroup Engine New Purchases (Available later this year)

These licenses are for 32-bit Workgroup Engine purchases, from stand-alone 1-user systems up to a MAXIMUM of 5 concurrent users in the database. Note that if you have an existing 1U or 3U base license, then you can purchase additional 1U and 2U User Count Increase (UCI) licenses to add users, but not exceed the maximum of 5 concurrent users.

Actian Zen v17 Enterprise Server Base Licenses (Available later this year)

These licenses are for new Zen v17 Server engine purchases for any platform (Windows, Linux). These base licenses can be combined with User Count Increase licenses (below) to make other user count combinations. Officially supported operating systems include Windows 10 (and newer), and Windows Server 2019 (and newer).

Actian Zen v17 Enterprise Server User Count Increase Licenses (Available later this year)

The base Zen v17 (above) licenses are NOT stackable. To increase your user count, you must purchase additional "User Count Increase" (UCI) licenses to add to your base license to make larger (non-standard) user counts. This means that if you wish to obtain a 26 user license, you would purchase a 20U "Base" license and a 6U UCI for the server.

These upgrades are valid for all users of Actian Zen v16 Enterprise Server database engines. Proof of ownership is required to obtain the upgrade price, and only BASE licenses can be upgraded (Not UCI's). You can upgrade to the SAME user count or to the NEXT USER COUNT HIGHER. The original product must be removed and destroyed.

Actian Zen v17 Enterprise Server Upgrades From Zen Server v15 (Available later this year)

These upgrades are valid for all users of Actian Zen v15 Enterprise Server database engines. Proof of ownership is required to obtain the upgrade price, and only BASE licenses can be upgraded (Not UCI's). You can upgrade to the SAME user count or to the NEXT USER COUNT HIGHER. Actian Zen v17 Standalone Server Engines (Available later this year)

These licenses are single-user, standalone licenses of the Zen v17 Enterprise Server Engine, which includes the Backup Agent and VSS Writer support. This license is designed for Developer use on Windows or Linux environments, or for single-user systems which can benefit from the added security, speed and memory utilization of a true 64-bit Server Engine. IMPORTANT NOTE: Unlike the full server licenses above, these base licenses are NOT expandable with User Count Increases, and this license may NOT be used to add another user to an existing Server Engine license!

Actian Zen v17 Cloud Server Base Licenses (Available later this year)

These licenses are for new server purchases, and you can have only ONE base license on each server. Licenses will work on any platform (Windows, Linux). Officially supported operating systems include Windows 10 (and newer), and Windows Server 2019 (and newer). If you need to add more Data In Use, you can use a Data Size Increase (below) or a Size Upgrade (also below).

Actian Zen v17 Cloud Server Data Size Increases (Available later this year)

Actian Zen v17 Cloud Server base licenses come with a set data size allowance. To increase your Data Size, you can either purchase an upgrade to a larger size, or you can purchase additional "Data Size Increase" (DSI) licenses to add to your "base" license to support larger databases. Note that the temnporary 60-day Size Increases, often used to get past a short-term data bump, have been discontinued by Actian, so you must now buy a full size increase. Confused? Actian Zen v17 Cloud Server Size Upgrades (Available later this year)

If you have an existing license of Actian Zen v17 Cloud Server and you need to move to a larger license, you can increase your data size with the Data Size Increases (above), or you can upgrade the license to a larger size. Proof of ownership is required to obtain the upgrade price. These licenses are applied on top of your current size to attain the new size.

Actian Zen v17 Cloud Server Sidegrades From Zen v17 Enterprise Server (Available later this year)

Users of Zen v17 Enterprise Server database engines can switch to Actian Zen Cloud Server 17 license model (i.e. a "sidegrade") at a discounted price, but only within certain defined sizes (shown here). Shipping and Taxes

Actian stopped production of the Media Kits, so all licenses are now delivered as electronic downloads only. If you prefer a paper copy, please request a copy of the license document and label when ordering. Sales taxes will be charged for all IL and IN destinations, unless a proper tax exemption form is provided. All other destinations will be responsible for self-assessing sales taxes where applicable.

Please be sure to include all information, including version, platform, user count, and shipping method, where applicable. When we receive the payment, we will process the order and ship the software to you with a PAID invoice.
• Purchase Order: To accept your company purchase order, we must have an open customer account set up. Please download the required forms and fill in the information requested. Then, you can mail or fax your forms with your P.O. directly to 928-833-3632. When your account is approved and created, the software will ship via the requested method.
