The LogSplitter tool was born from the frustration of analyzing DataExchange log files and interpreting the results when multiple concurrent replication sessions are reported therein. These log files intersperse log information from the various sessions, and you must manually decode which line is for which session - no fun at all.
LogSplitter provides a simple way of splitting the log files into separate pieces for easy analysis. It can dump the data into individual text files (just like the original DRE log file) or it can dump the data to comma-delimited files, for importing into Excel or Access for further analysis.
Additional switches can filter out Informational, Warning, or Error messages, as desired, and can generate a set of totals when completed.
No DataExchange install should be without it!
